We have a diverse range of cultures, languages and religions. We are situated in area of high crime and high quality PSHE is a high priority for our pupils.
School goals and ambitions
We strive to recognize the extensive work we do in supporting children’s mental health and continually enhance our approach by fostering excitement and inspiring fresh ideas. It is important to us that both our current school community and prospective families are aware of our commitment and the meaningful impact of our efforts.
We want our pupil leaders to feel empowered as part of a team that actively supports others, gaining intrinsic rewards through their contributions. Our priority is ensuring that all pupils are in the best position to access their learning. We recognize that challenges such as unstable home lives and personal hardships can create barriers to success.

Impact school context
At Ryvers, we have strengthened pupil wellbeing through key initiatives, ensuring children understand what wellbeing means and how the school supports them. Pupil voice has shaped our approach, influencing drop-down days, school values work, increased PSHE learning, and more external visits. We have enhanced staff and parent training, ensuring everyone knows where to seek help. Our dedicated pastoral officer works closely with the wellbeing team, improving communication and targeted interventions. As a result, our school fosters a strong culture of support, helping pupils thrive academically and emotionally.
