We are a mixed comprehensive community secondary school in a diverse area, serving one of the five most deprived regions of Hertfordshire. We have 18% of students with a SEND need, 31% who are recipients of Pupil Premium funding and ___ who are EAL.
Our building is relatively new with state of the art facilities. As a school we sit just outside the London boundary therefore receive a lower funding per student than schools located 3 miles away.

Impact school context
As a large secondary school, outdoor learning is being embedded into the curriculum from the transition process through KS3 and introduced at KS4. This is the continued development process. All transition students and Year 7 students complete an Outdoor Learning Day as well as from Year 8 onwards faculties utilise outdoor spaces more where Science conducts environmental surveys and the Creative Arts use the environment for inspiration in photography and life drawings. The schools investment in small animals which live within outdoor enclosures promote a love of nurture and wildlife where students lead on the maintenance, feeding and cleaning. Raised beds are being used for sustainable food.
