The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys is an all-through American Curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We have 1,307 students on roll, 12,01 Emirati students, 136 students of determination, and we serve a predominantly local demographic of students, followed by Jordan and the USA.

On our award journey, we hope to foster a positive school environment that prioritizes both physical and mental health. We aim to help students understand the crucial link between physical health and mental wellbeing, empowering them to make informed choices that support their overall development, academic success, and personal growth.

A key focus of the program is ensuring that all students know where and how to access support within the school. Ultimately, our wellbeing offer at SZPAB aims to create a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes the health and success of every student.

Impact school context
Since the start of the 2024 - 2025 academic year, all staff completed Mental Health First Aid training. Sixteen specialist staff also received additional training on complex mental health disorders and first aid steps. We've since seen more whole-phase wellbeing events and stronger systems promoting student voice. Teachers are focusing on positive reinforcement in class and family engagement, evidenced by improved merit-to-demerit ratios in Epraise and increased positive/support contacts.
