By taking part in this award as a school the main thing we want to achieve is for the children at St James Daisy Hill to have more opportunities to learn outdoors and for staff to promote positive attitudes towards outdoor learning across the school. Taking appropriate opportunities in curriculum subjects such as, science geography and history to take learning outdoors and have real life first hand experiences. We want learning to take place in the outdoors as well as about the outdoors. Doing this award should ultimately build confidence and competence in both staff and pupils in using outdoor environments and improve health and wellbeing across the school.
