School goals and ambitions
The leadership team have put staff wellbeing high on the school priorities this year (Autumn 2023-Dec 2024) and have included it in the School Improvement Plan. We would like to:
1. Formulate a wellbeing group with representatives from all areas of school life
2. Devise a wellbeing Charter. What does St Peter’s commit to, to support the mental health and wellbeing of all its employees?
3. Come up with an action plan
4. As part of the action plan create a wellbeing programme
5. Commit to staff having adult mental health training on a rolling programme
6. Revisit the staff questionnaire, to include wider issues of wellbeing
7. Plan a wellbeing budget into the school budget

Impact school context
The school context hasn't changed. However, during the last school year we have worked very hard on staff wellbeing. We have established a staff wellbeing group who meet half termly, we’ve completed a staff wellbeing audit and have results from a staff wellbeing survey. We have created an action plan and have now produced a wellbeing charter.
We have focussed our efforts around the 8 benchmarks of wellbeing and have paid particular attention to showing staff recognition, creating a positive and healthy workplace, ensuring a manageable workload and creating a supportive staff community.
