School goals and ambitions
At Holme Grange, we believe that outdoor education is vitally important for children's health and wellbeing but also for their learning journey. By completing this Gold level award, I hope to continue to develop our Outdoor Learning and Forest school curriculum in order to directly benefit our pupils. I would like to grow our program so we are offering new taught skills to the children. I would also like to find more ways to incorporate outdoor education in everyday school life by making more links between the outdoors and classroom learning.

Since completing the statement of Intent, it has allowed Outdoor Learning staff to focus on the development of the programme at Holme Grange. Positive steps have been made towards the goal of every child being enthusiastic about their Outdoor Education and in developing the ethos of the subject. Staff have been able to highlight the things that are really benefiting students and areas where further development could be made to enhance the quality of Outdoor Learning education.
