We are committed to ensuring the wellbeing of our staff, as we recognise this as a cornerstone of our success. Our ongoing efforts to cultivate a vibrant and supportive workplace culture have been both deliberate and adaptive, addressing the evolving needs of our team.
Our journey commenced with a focus on actively engaging with our staff. Through the use of surveys, focus groups, and open dialogues, we pinpointed significant challenges, such as workload stress, insufficient work-life balance, and mental health issues. These findings have guided us in establishing our initial wellbeing priorities.

Impact school context
The Staff Wellbeing Team at Beacon of Light School has significantly enhanced the school environment by implementing comprehensive wellbeing processes. Their initiatives have fostered a culture of support, resilience, and open communication among staff. By introducing regular wellbeing check-ins, team meeting, staff appreciaton and mental health support and resources, we have improved staff morale and reduced burnout. These efforts have created a more positive workplace atmosphere, enabling staff to perform at their best, ultimately benefiting both educators and students. The team’s dedication has been pivotal in promoting a healthy, balanced, and motivated school community.
