School goals and ambitions
We began working towards this award in March 2025 because as an organisation we want to ensure that all members of staff feel supported and valued. We had already started taking steps to create open dialogues around wellbeing, ultimately benefiting both the individual and the organisation.
We want to ensure there is a longevity to our commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment. We understand that when staff feel supported and valued, it can positively impact their teaching and create a positive learning environment for all students.
We hope to recognise the steps taken to achieve this and create an action plan that can be used to drive further improvements.

Impact school context
Since the start of the award, there has been a determined effort to bring Staff wellbeing into the forefront, and this is now an active discussion point for all implementations and discussions amongst SLT. Staff turnover since we started working towards the award has decreased with only one member of teaching staff moving on to a new post in September, and one at Christmas (Promotion). The previous year saw a loss of 15. This is testament to the steps that have been taken as outlined below:
Introduction of live marking in lessons.
Wellbeing centred Appraisal structure
Workload impact and implications
Staff wellbeing activities
Staff voice and consultation
Staff recognition
