School context
The Marlborough C of E School is a semi-rural 11-18 comprehensive, co-educational school. Pupils are predominantly from a white British background, with 16% from other ethnic background.
There are currently 1053 pupils on roll, (156 pupils in the Sixth Form and 25 pupils in our SENSS Resource Base). As a Church of England School, Christian values underpin our ethos.
The school is popular and is over-subscribed. The area from which pupils are drawn has a broad socio-economic mix, with a majority living in rural locations. Although our number of Pupil Premium Students is below national average, it is a key focus for us as a school. Pupils with SEND are particularly important to us.

School goals and ambitions
At The Marlborough C of E School, we value the wellbeing of our staff and aim to support colleagues throughout their working lives, recognising the impact work can have on stress, mental and physical health.
Our objective is to promote honest and open discussion without fear or prejudice surrounding mental health and staff wellbeing issues. We work hard to adopt an inclusive approach to wellbeing and aim to work with all employees, teaching and non-teaching.
We are keen to signpost and promote available support including our Employee Assistance Programme, help and guidance from colleagues who are Mental Health First Aiders along with HR Policies to promote a healthy work place culture.
