Solefield School is a small (179 pupils) non - selective independent boy's school in Sevenoaks, Kent. It has a recently opened co-ed nursery for pupils aged 3 and 4 (Little Acorns) and Reception - Year 3 became co-ed in January 2024. The classes in Years 4-8 will remain single sex for the duration of the time that these boys are at Solefield.
There is a class size limit of 16 and all are taught in mixed ability groups.
We have 55 pupils on our SEND register, 4 pupils have an ECHP plan.
28 pupils speak English as an additional language or are exposed to another language in the family home.
The school is a charity and was founded in 1948.

School goals and ambitions
Pupils at Solefield are kind, happy and have a definite sense of self-worth. They are mindful, think of others and take an interest in the wider world and the environment. Pupils discover their strengths and make the most of their talents within Solefield and beyond. Pupils become self-motivated, intellectually curious and have enquiring and open minds. We would like our pupils to learn to respond even more positively to challenge and to acquire skills to overcome difficulties in the future.
After achieving a Wellbeing Award in 2022, we feel that helping our pupils to develop their resilience skills further would be of benefit to them as they move through the school and beyond.
