Case studies

The focus of a case study should be the end point compared with the start point and the progress and impact that has been made. It can highlight the journey of an individual, a small group or the entire school.

Case studies can include information drawn from surveys and interviews, but they could also include a few real-life examples that show changed attitudes, improved understanding or greater involvement. For example:

  • examples of pupils' work
  • pupils' drawings or stories of how things have changed
  • artwork/posters that have been designed.

Make sure that the case study is not too long for the validator to read (one page should be sufficient) and that it clearly outlines impact and not just the actions that you took.
