St Peter's Primary School is set in the small market town of Market Bosworth. We are surrounded by local history and the school is an integral part of the local community and our St Peter's church. We have 215 pupils on roll currently. We have a low number of EAL (2.2%) and FSM (10.7%) We have a high number of SEND in our school - children with EHCPs is 4.4% compared with 3% national and children on SEN Support is 24.4% compared with 14.1% national. We have a lot of children who come to St Peter's who are out of our catchment area.
School goals and ambitions
We would like all of our children to understand what mental health and wellbeing is, leaving St Peter's with a wide range of strategies to support them. We want it to be a safe place where children feel confident to talk about their feelings both to their peers and to trusted adults. We would like some of our children to take responsibility to support others with their wellbeing. We would like all staff to understand the importance of supporting the wellbeing and mental health of our children and feel confident in assisting with this.

We have had an increase in pupil numbers due to new housing. Many of these children are classed as vulnerable and have SEND needs so Forest School has been key for these children in helping to settle them in and start building relationships.
